D. Eric Taylor
Who am I?
I am a 47 year old husband, father, and educator; and I love God, my family, and my job.
My passions and hobbies include traveling, reading, writing, Dolly Parton, and the color red.
My family has visited all 50 states in the US over the past several years. Now it is time for us to get out and see the world.
For almost 22 years, I spent my life as a math teacher, culminating in my dream job at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
This year, God has taken me beyond my dreams.
What to expect here
The purpose of this website is to showcase who I am and what I do. You will find information on the past 21 years of my teaching career, the work I have recently done to become a Canvas Certified Educator, and my current work in providing professional development for other educators.
Also included on this site are several blogs that I have developed:
Our All-American Adventure is a blog I started several years ago to share photos and stories from my family's road trips and vacations across the US (and some of Canada).
Our Worldwide Adventures is a new blog I will be building to track our family's vacations around the world, beginning with a month in Europe in summer 2023.
The Accidental Teacher will be stories and lessons learned from my career as a non-conventional teacher.
Before We Go... is a blog I have recently started to share my thoughts and feelings about the important things in life with the people who matter to me most.
Walking in God's Woods is my most recent blog series based on my conversations with God as I walk the physical path through our woods and the spiritual path that God leads.
I would be honored to hear any feedback you might have about what you liked or didn't like and ways that I could improve my website:
